Photographer Andrew Shaylor was given unique access, over several years, to the secret world of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club. He set out to assemble a truthful depiction of this much misunderstood group, and the result is a remarkable collection of photographs. Now available in paperback for the first time, Shaylor’s powerfully honest portraits show the diversity of the club’s members, while images of important HAMC events give fascinating insights into a club that has remained closed to outsiders… until now. Over 300 stunning photographs - including new images appearing for the first time in this edition - reveal the rich diversity of the HAMC. It features HAMC events, members’ motorcycles, clubhouses, over 100 incisive portraits and a multitude of details that uniquely define HAMC culture. It contains a specially commissioned foreword by Sonny Barger, internationally well-known and respected member of the HAMC.
Customer Review: A top pick for any California general-interest lending library strong in California alternative culture.
Photographer Andrew Shaylor was given unique access to the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club and sought to provide an excellent representation of the group: available in paper for the first time is a set of images captured at their important events, worldwide. The Hells Angels Club is a huge part of California culture in addition to being worldwide, so this color-photo-packed representation is a top pick for any California general-interest lending library strong in California alternative culture.

Customer Review: lame
Totally misleading in its title. Basically a bunch of photos of Europes H.A. in sneakers and sweat pants. Not even any good stories or writting. A must have for the trash can. Buy from here…
Laura Branigan Platinum Collection
October 31, 2008
Customer Review: Best Branigan compilation from the Northern Hemisphere!!
The late Laura Branigan had a remarkably worldwide fan base, with several greatest hits albums in countries ranging from South Korea, Brazil, Japan, Germany, and 2 in South Africa (and that was before the U.S. even had one!).
This PLATINUM COLLECTION is the best new compilation of her work since her death in 2004. While there are a few tracks that are glaringly absent (e.g., “Cry Wolf”, “Hold Me”, “Forever Young”, singles from 1993’s OVER MY HEART album, etc.), it is a good selection of her work. Better yet, these tracks are remastered!
Again, this is not a perfect selection (the ones from South Africa had the best selections), this album is the best one in years, certainly better than the BEST OF BRANIGAN that was released in the U.S. in 1995.
If you must limit yourself to one Branigan album and you do not want shell out the money for the ones from South Africa, the PLATINUM COLLECTION from the U.K. is your best choice!
Customer Review: Tell Laura I Love Her
To me, no collection could ever be complete without including every track Laura ever recorded. Hit or not, that is only spectulation by our obsession with the cencors of what is hot or not. Radio does not play the whole impact of what the public really enjoys listening to. Key words, “enjoys listening to, not what we are forced to hear on radio. Laura shall live on in the musical soundtrack of our lives. Buy from here…

Customer Review: its just ok
I really dont like this dvd. I see a big difference between this tour and the truth tour. Which i guess in a way that is good its shows grow. But i was a bit disappointed by this dvd. But still love him. Still a fan.
Customer Review: Usher 8701
Wow!! He’s so cute!! This is a good price for the DVD. I don’t think this is a good DVD for kids maybe 16-17 years old or younger. Some of the stuff he does, like putting his hand down his pants etc. I wouldn’t want my own child to see (if I had one.) But his dancers are really very pretty and aren’t “trashy” like some of the girls that we see on “MTV.” They are seductive, but they’re not nasty. In my opinion. But you can tell what a great performer he is and how much the crowd loves him. Buy from here…
Best of Stevie B
October 28, 2008
This is delicious bubble-gum dance music from one of Miami’s biggest male artists. A Florida native, Stevie B became one of the early leaders of freestyle music with the breakout hit “Party Your Body” in 1988, followed by increasingly successful songs such as “I Wanna Be the One” and “Love Me for Life.” Stevie also set himself apart from the pack by writing and producing his own music, which was very rare for an ’80s dance star. The hits stopped coming in the ’90s, though Stevie B continues to record and, as this collection shows, has already left a swooningly romantic–and infinitely danceable–legacy. –John Sanchez

What Should I Do with My Life?
October 28, 2008
What should I do with my life?
It’s a question many of us have pondered with frequency. Author Po Bronson was asking himself that very question when he decided to write this book — an inspiring exploration of how people transform their lives and a template for how we can answer this question for ourselves.
Bronson traveled the country in search of individuals who have struggled to find their calling, their true nature — people who made mistakes before getting it right. He encountered people of all ages and all professions — a total of fifty-five fascinating individuals trying to answer questions such as: Is a career supposed to feel like a destiny? How do I tell the difference between a curiosity and a passion? Should I make money first, to fund my dream? If I have a child, will my frustration over my work go away? Should I accept my lot, make peace with my ambition, and stop stressing out? Why do I feel guilty for thinking about this?
From their efforts to answer these questions, the universal truths in this book emerge. Each story in these pages informs the next, and the result is a journey that unfolds with cumulative power. Here are the stories of people who found meaningful answers by daring to be honest with themselves. Among them:
- The Pittsburgh lawyer who decided to become a trucker so he could savor the moment and be closer to his son.
- The toner-cartridge queen of Chicago, who realized that her relationships with men kept sabotaging her career choices.
- The Cuban immigrant who overcame the strong disapproval of her parents and quit her high-paying job to pursue social-service work in Miami.
- The chemistry professor who realized, quite late in life, that he would rather practice law.
- The mother torn between an Olympic career and her adolescent daughter.
- The seventeen-year-old boy who received a letter from the Dalai Lama and was called to a life of spiritual leadership.
- The creator of St. Elmo’s Fire, who wasn’t sure he could quit his successful Hollywood life for the deeper artistic life he had always wanted to pursue.
- The author himself. Po Bronson has worked as a bus-boy, cook, janitor,sports-medicine intern, bus-lift assembly-line technician, aerobics instructor, litigation consultant, greeting-card designer, bond salesman, political-newsletter editor, high school teacher, author, and book publisher.
Reading this book is like listening in on an intimate conversation among people you care about and admire. Even if you know what you should do with your life, you will find wisdom and guidance in these stories.
“Brimming with stories of sacrifice, courage, commitment and, sometimes, failure, the book will support anyone pondering a major life choice or risk without force-feeding them pat solutions.”

Good Morning America “Read This!” Book Club Pick
Customer Review: We all face this at some point
What Should I Do with My Life is a collection of personal interviews examining how people have answered this question and changed their lives. Many of the people in the book have different backgrounds, educations, and circumstances and came about their change in a variety of different methods. Some are stories of courage and some are stories of chance. Each story examines how the person arrived at their answer for their life. The stories include young people just starting out in their careers as well as older people looking to change careers.
Customer Review: Personal advice to help seekers
This isn’t your typical job book.
You won’t find any quizzes to help you choose your career path, and you won’t get any step-by-step advice on how to find the best job for you.
What you will find are personal stories from people just like you. You’ll discover people who had an easy route to career success, as well as people who had a longer journey.
I personally found this book very helpful during a particularly rough patch. I wasn’t sure I wanted to stay in my field, and I had a lot of questions about what to do with my life. I was depressed, unhappy, desperate, even angry.
Reading other people’s stories helped me feel less alone.
The book also helped me priorotize what is important in my life. Turns out I’m OK with making less money as long as the tradeoff is living in a place I love and working for people I respect.
I have a new job as a result of this book, and I’m very happy with my place in the world. Buy from here…
Raising Respectful Children in a Disrespectful World (Motherhood Club)
October 28, 2008
Customer Review: Raising Respectful Children
Very good reference for parenting on how to raise children in the traditional good values.
Customer Review: Good Reinforcement for Proper Parenting
There’s nothing groundbreaking in “Raising Respectful Children in a Disrespectful World”, but the author does an excellent job of providing encouragement & reinforcement for good parenting. Ms. Rigby understands how hard it can be for parents to say “no” to toxic pop culture, permissiveness, selfishness, greed, false praise, perfectionism, etc. She reminds us of the damage these things can inflict on our children and provides helpful suggestions for countering them.
Ms. Rigby does include a lot of references to God and the Bible, but most of them were not Christian-specific. The majority of the quotes came from the Old Testament and the ones from the New Testament dealt with Jesus’ teachings rather than his role as Savior. So I could see why a Jew like Dr. Laura would not have a big problem with this book. Buy from here…
The Rat Pack’s Las Vegas
October 28, 2008
Join Frank, Dino, Sammy, Joey and Peter in the “Rat Pack’s Las Vegas.” This unique program traces the history of the Rat Pack, beginning with Frank Sinatra’s solo stint as a Vegas headliner when his movie and recording careers crumbled, to his famous “summits” with the rest of the pack at the fabled Sands “A Place in the Sun” Hotel, to the triumphant on-location filming of the Pack’s “Ocean’s 11″ (which showcased as many stars as could make it to Vegas during the filming). The program features rare footage of the Pack in action at the Sands’ Copa Room as well as rare stills of John F. Kennedy and other Kennedy Era luminaries. The program also offers frank discussions of the racism that dominated Las Vegas in the 1950’s - and Frank Sinatra’s heroic efforts to end it for his good friend Sammy Davis Jr. From the birth of the Sands to its razing to make way for today’s fabulous Venetian Resort Hotel, the “Rat Pack’s Las Vegas” showcases the men and times that buils the myth - and mystique - of America’s No. 1 tourist destination.
Customer Review: The Rat Pack Las Vegas
